A New Day
We all like to think of the new baby
Bringing them home for the first time
Having the first birthday
Then the first day of school
There first time to play sports
Or their first time to swim
There are so many firsts in our lives
There are so many new beginnings
With a sparkle in our eyes
Smiles on our faces, and
Joy in our Hearts
For each day is a new day with our
Heavenly Father
A new day in our walk
with Him
His heart is open to us
first thing when we awake
Sometimes the awakening is
within our hearts
As we recognize His Faithfulness
Even when we have not been faithful
When we stand still long enough
and say Thank You Lord for everything
For His mercies are NEW every morning
Is this your morning?
For he has mercy, love and compassion
for you today and forevermore
Awaken heart, Awaken to the new day
With joy and peace in your heart
full of God's mercy
which he has for you this day!
"Through the LORD'S mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not, They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. "The LORD is my portion," says my soul, Therefore I hope in Him!" Lamentations 3:22-24
